The village hall is run by a committee of volunteers which is made up of trustees and residents. The membership of the village hall committee is open to all residents of the parish of Messing cum Inworth. Members are elected at the annual general meeting allowing the whole community to be involved in the development and running of the hall. The registration as a charity took place in May 1963. Membership is open to all residents but voting rights are restricted to those over 21. Organisations within the village also have the right to appoint one member to the management committee.
